Weekly Update - 9th September
Volunteers Needed for Barrier Reef Big Bash at Griffiths Park!
Rovers Cricket Club, in conjunction with Norths Cricket Club and as part of the Cairns Cricket Association, is hosting the Barrier Reef Big Bash starting Friday, 13th September, at Griffiths Park.
We need YOUR help to make this event a success!
We’ve been allocated the weekends of 13/14 September and 27/28 September, and we’re calling for volunteers to assist with the following roles:
Ground Setup:
- Setting up marquees, chairs, covers, other tasks as needed
- Friday 13th September 2pm – 4:00pm
- Friday 27 September 2pm – 4:00pm
Canteen Duty:
- Friday 13th September from 5:30pm until finish. (2hr shifts)
- Saturday 14th September from 1:30pm until finish. (2hr shifts)
- Friday 27th September from 5:30pm until finish (2hr shifts)
- Saturday 28th September from 1:30pm until finish (2hr shifts)

Players Achievements
1. A big congratulations to the young men from Rovers Cricket Club who played a crucial role in St Augustine’s College winning the T20 School Boys Competition. Your hard work, dedication, and skills on the field have paid off, and we’re incredibly proud to see you represent both your school and our club with such distinction. Well done, boys!
2. We are thrilled to announce that several young players from Rovers Cricket Club have been selected to join the CFN U15 Male Team. This is a fantastic achievement and recognition of their talent, commitment, and sportsmanship. We wish them the best of luck.
