CFN UNDER 15 MALE REP TRIAL INFORMATION

August 5th, 2023
To all CFN Junior Cricket families,

The following contains extremely important information for the Male Under 15 CFN Rep Trials for 2023.

The Cricket Far North Male Under 15 Rep team trial for 2023 will occur on Sunday 3rd September, 2023, at either Griffiths Park OR Endeavour Park, Cairns, from 9am to 3pm (venue TBC).
All Males cricketers that are 15 or under as of 1st September, 2023 are eligible to attend the trial.

This rep trial is considerably earlier than in previous years. This is due to a change in rep pathway being provided by Queensland Cricket.

  • The North Queensland Cricket Alliance (NQCA) Stage 1 rep carnival is currently scheduled to occur on October 20, 21 and 22 in Mackay, consisting of Male Under 15 teams from CFN, NQ, MW and CQ.
  • From this, a Stage 2 rep team, The Northern Flames (a combination of CFN and NQ) will be selected to compete in an 8 team State Competition currently scheduled for 8th to 11th December (venue TBC).
  • In order for CFN to have a team to compete in October, the rep trials MUST occur before the September school holidays. Hence, Sunday 3rdSeptember will be the Male Under 15 CFN rep trial
  • At this stage, there still may be some changes to the Stage 1 venue and date. This is a work in progress with QC and QJCA. Forthcoming information regarding the stage 1 event will be available soon.
