Weekly Update - 26th May

Hi Rovers Family,

It’s been a little while between newsletters, but we’re back — and what better reason than to invite you to our upcoming Annual General Meeting!

We’d love to see as many of our players, parents, volunteers, and supporters as possible join us on Thursday 29th May at 5:30pm, held at Halpin Partners, 101 Sheridan St, Cairns.

This is your chance to hear how the season went, share your thoughts, and get involved in shaping the future of the club. Whether you’re keen to take on a committee role or just want to stay connected and informed — all are welcome.

In collaboration with Queensland Cricket, CFN would like to invite all players aged 13 and above to attend an online information session about our upcoming Off-Season Program Plyometrics Program.
This session will be held via Microsoft Teams and will provide an overview of the program, including what to expect and what’s involved.
Wednesday 28/05/2025 – 6:00PM-  6:30PM.

Online Information Session

As part of the program, we’ll be incorporating plyometric training — a form of exercise focused on explosive movements to develop power, speed, and strength. This type of training is especially valuable for cricketers, as it enhances performance in sprinting, jumping, and quick directional changes.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing more about how this program can support your development during the off-season.

Please make an effort to turn out to this information session as it will allow us the best chance of a smooth and successful program.
