The weather continues to play havoc with our grounds and games, making it a challenging start to the second half of the season. Despite all efforts to get matches played over the weekend, only some Tier 1 games managed to get results, while other junior tiers and all senior games were unfortunately washed out. Let’s hope for better conditions this coming weekend!

Fingers crossed for clearer skies ahead. Thanks for your ongoing support. Enjoy your week!
Firstly a huge thank you to to Ian and Simon for preparing a field we could get a game on this weekend at St Andrew’s.
Rovers lost the flip and were sent into bat and had to work hard for our runs on a very slow outfield.
The entire team dug in and worked hard to post a competitive total of 112 with only one boundary in the innings.running between the wickets was the key and we did that really well.
Our turn to bowl and again a fantastic team effort with the ball and in the field allowed us to restrict Norths to just 68 from their 20 overs.
An amazing team effort this week and it’s great to be back on the field.
Awards went to Brad, Isaak and Johno.
In a tight contest at Endeavour 2 our boys were able to tough it out against a highly competitive Barron river team with our brothers Charlie and Josh making 17 and 16 respectively.
First gamer Kade was impressive with 2 crucial wickets supported by great leadership in the field by Oliver, Ben and Liam.
Shout out to Dads Ben and Jason for their help scoring and umpiring!
It was great to sneak a game in at endeavour amongst all the wet weather!
Captain Aadit lost the bat toss and we were sent in to field against our formidable opponents. We bowled quite tightly but just couldn’t quite hold our catches – our boys never stopped trying though in the muggy conditions. Jacob grabbed our wicket (1-15).
When it was our turn to bat we found the runs hard to come by. Poor Dexter copped blows to both his thumb and toe but toughed it out at the crease.
Hopefully some drier weeks to come and we will see the mighty Redbacks hit their groove!
Unfortunately, all senior games were washed out over the weekend due to the weather. Let’s hope for better conditions and a full round of cricket next weekend!
Fingers crossed for some sunshine and play ahead!
