Cairns Rovers Cricket Club is seeking a Head Coach for the 2022/2023 Cricket Season. The Head Coach is primarily responsible for ensuring that the club’s training across all levels is planned, coordinated, organised, and run at a high standard while maximising enjoyment, participation, and encouragement. This is paid position and remuneration is flexible depending on the candidate’s relevant experience.

Key roles and resposibilites:

• Organising and conducting senior pre-season consultations with the captains and assistant/specialist coaches.
• Organising and conducting structured senior in-season training in consultation with the captains (twice per week).
• Ensure training is of a high standard that provides quality outcomes as agreed with the captains and committee.
• Ensure training is well organised, planned and expectations are clearly communicated to players prior.
• Assist in the recuritment of senior players in consultation with the captians.
• Assist in identifying potential juniors ready for seniors.
• Communicate with the committee at regular intervals.
• Work with the junior coordinator and junior coaches.

Skills Required

• Approchable and flexible.
• Organised and attentive to detail.
• Previous coaching experience.
• Computer Skills.
• Blue Card.
